Kevin Sorbo, star of HERCULES: THE LEGENDARY JOURNEYS, has confirmed that the fantasy adventure series is set to end. "I'm 99.0% sure the show is over, which is sad," he states, having selected not renew his contract beyond eight episodes next season. His agent Nick Styne reports that "the studio would like him to continue, but we can't agree on terms." Production is now underway on the show's sixth season, which seem certain to be cut short by Sorbo's departure. "There are several issues left to be resolved in terms of the future of the show," said a spokesman for distributors the USA Network. "Until those are resolved, we cannot commit beyond eight episodes at this time." Sorbo has expressed his hope that the demi-god is not killed off, and that the show's writers will provide a spectacular end to the show; the finale may see the return of Michael Hurst's original version of Iolaus.
