Ch. 12

"Yo, Howie, you want your edition of Rolling Stone?"

"AJ, what were you doing in my backpack?"

"Browsing. That's part of friendship, D. We share everything."

"No, you LOSE everything then come to all of us to bail out our sorry butt,"Howie replied making himself comfortable as the clouds rolled by.

"Hey, if you just let me have it I'll shut up through the rest of the flight," I promised.

"Deal."

"Oh," Nick groaned clutching his stomach. "Why do we always have to fly?"

Kevin rolled his eyes. "Because you can't drive over the ocean, Nick."

Nick grabbed his paper napkin as he began scribbling away.

"Frack, what are you doing?" Brian chuckled.

"Designing a car that would float on water."

I shook my head. And they said I was a freak.

Brian smiled as he glanced at his ever-present picture of Leighanne. "I'll be so happy to hold her in my arms."

"Me too, I miss Kristin," Kevin chimed in.

"Amanda," I smiled.

"Mandy," Nick whispered as he continued to sketch.

Howie twirled the red rose he had bought at our last stop. "I can't wait to see S----"

"SALLY!" I gasped.

"Yes, AJ, would you relax?"

"NO!" I yelped. "I mean, that's Sally!" I stated pointing to the page. There lay Sally under the article entitled 'The PHAT Girlfriend of a Backstreet Boy'. The redhead lay in a pile of white rose petals that covered the ground.

Dressed in a black silk bra and hot pants. The dark colors showcase her ivory complexion, curves and- tight tummy. Damn! She was one fly hunnie! How much weight had that girl lost?

Author's Note: Howie, please forgive me- but any guy that has seen that photo would agree.

Nick drooled at the mouth. "Hey, Howie, if you two ever break up..."

I smacked him upside his forehead. "Shutup, blondie!"

Howie did not stare at the photo as we did. He wasn't turned on- he was upset.
