Country Concert 2003
Ft. Loramie, OH 7/12/03

This was so cool seeing these guys here!! The trip took us 10hrs. to get there and was worth every mile. Those of us with stagefront seats that sold for $450. per ticket were treated with backstage access and a catered lunch and dinner each day. The festival ran from 7/10 - 7/13 and thanks to some friends, it was a real treat for me getting to see BH perform "Knoxville Girl" live and hang out a bit with them. We also stayed at the same hotel as Diamond Rio, Kenny Rogers, Joe Nichols and Neal McCoy. They had the largest crowd there this year which was estimated to be 60,000. Totally amazing, considering the fact that I'd never heard of this festival before. It was a lot of fun!!

These are by far some of my best photos of BH yet! I do miss Chris and John being a part of this phenominal undertaking... alot of people do!!! It worked...it really just worked!!!! I really hate this pay to play industry because they missed out on some of the finest musicians and working chemistry out there as did the rest of the world. The industry has decided that when it comes to music, there is no democracy anymore. They decide who gets played and how often they get played and in a brain washing fashion if they shove it down our throats enough, we'll buy it. I am one country music fan who's not buying it. I may take photos of a lot of performers who I really don't consider to be true artists, for the sake of photography because it's what I enjoy doing. Then there are these guys, who I will support wholeheartedly forever because their talent D-E-S-E-R-V-E-S success.

The performance these guys gave was so on!! While they may or may not think so, they showed OH that they are the masters of their craft. They ARE the epitome of perfection!!! I know without a doubt that the people of Russell's Point and the other communities that were devastated by the horrible flooding, forgot their troubles when BH took the stage. If only for a little while... Thanks guys for a WONDERFUL show!! I hope to get some photos in the future of Jimmy playing the drums since I couldn't get any of him here. What am I saying? Of course I will!
