Doesn't it look cute from the front? I dont like cute in a car, I'd rather it be menacing, to tell you to move when it gets in your mirror. You may think it's docile, but the Beetle has power on demand, so watch out.
The Heart of this Beetle
Standard engine in Beetles is VW's 115 hp 2.0 liter engine(US specs) Optional powerplants include a 1.9 turbo-diesel prducing 90 hp, and Audi/VWs successful 1.8Turbo, whipping out 150 horsepower form the 20 valves. All are 4 cylinders, and there is no word yet of Volkswagen offering the 2.8 liter 172 hp VR6, so the 1.8T is the best bet for power. (But don't be defied by the 115 from the 2.0; it's still quick!)
Interior Dashboard
From this vantage, you can't see how big the dashboard actually is. It can be convenient and inconvenient at the same time. Lots of storage and smooth shifting. There's where the flower vase goes (although the one on this particular Beetle broke soon after purchase) The sound system is highly qualified too. Beetle Page 2
