2001 BMW MRoadster
Now, as I look at this picture I don't like it. It was obvisouly taken with a lot of people around which is why I cropped it at such a bad angle. But I got the two visual cues of the fact it's 2001. The color is Phoenix Yellow, which looks mustardy on paper. Where the previous Dakar Yellow was a bright yellow yellow, this is more of a dirty darker yellow. I miss Dakar. And the new wheels are satin chrome like the M3 and M5 wheels. Up against an earlier wheel they do look different, but it's hard to tell here.
Performance
This was part of the backdrop for BMW's display. It shows the M3 taking on the Z8. I wonder who would win that race...
Racing
This was the end of their wall display, showing the V12 LMR and a PTG M3. The LMR won Le Mans one year, but this year BMW is focusing on F1 and doesn't have any Le Mans cars racing. Car #42 was actually on display at the show too. Continue on to see it. NYIAS Page 10
