Like a human version of Snaggle Puss gone bad. Son of a wealthy family but ran away to have some freedom. As a child he had a pet growlithe named Growly. He once lived across from Sunnyside Town and was known as Lil' Jim or Trainer Jim. His code name is R2 (only mentioned in Snorlax episode). He was the only member in a bike gang that had training wheels. He and Jesse got the lowest scores on the entrance exams in the history of Pokemon Technical Institute (the school they went to). He is usually seen with a rose. He got Koffing for Christmas. He also bought Magikarp with his and Jesse's next month salary but later he kicked it away because he found it useless. He later returned to his home to find out that his parents are dead and he must marry to inherit the estate. Terns out that his parents faked their death to get James to marry Jessebelle (a girl that looks identical to Jesse. The only differences are her hair, southern accent and her force to make him a gentleman). Somehow somewhere James got a Weepinbell which thanks to Butch and Cassidy evolved into a (head swallowing) Victreebel.
