Episode 27 - Pokemon Fashion Flash – (Solon Roquete)

On Scissor Street (A.K.A. Breeder’s Lane) Misty looks at a billboard with a Koffing and Ekans in make-up and in dresses. She thinks it must be the latest fashion and she finds it cute. Ash and the rest walk towards a building (which has a heart and a fancy R in the front of it) called Solon Roquete. You hear a voice (that is obviously James) say, "You wont believe how beautiful a pokemon can be. Step in and see for yourself. Let us dazzle you with the latest fashions by the expert artists of Solon Roquete." Brock looks at another picture of the Koffing and Ekans all made up and wonders if they are supposed to be a pokemon or a Christmas tree. (Note from the editor – ME: In order for this episode not to be pages and pages long I won’t go into as much detail as I would like to). Jesse with red glasses and different outfit than the traditional Team Rocket uniform is painting designs and adding jewelry onto a raichu, while James wearing a similar uniform has reading-sized glasses as he’s styling a dodrio’s hair. "We’ll make your pokemon a pretty-mon," Jesse and James both said together before they revealed their latest masterpiece. For a moment they have red roses taped to their backs. "Your pokemon have gone from frumpy to flashy, thanks to Solon Roquete," Jesse says as she walks to her client. The client thinks the pokemon look precious but the pokemon look in the mirror and appear to disagree and they all leave. Meowth starts counting money and ends up with $200 and starts yelling at Jesse and James. "Remember, we’re in this to make a profit," Meowth yells. Jesse explains her theory on how they might end up customers that will pay thousands. Later Jesse and James just finish up making up a squirtle. Misty enters with Psyduck and Team Rocket jumps in shock but than drags her over to give her a makeover which Misty ends up loving (My personal opinion: I thought it was a really good look for her, to bad she later goes back to her simple ways). Meowth gets mad and blows the cover by saying that she hangs around with "that" Pikachu. Misty realized it’s Meowth, as Jesse start kicking and James starts body slamming Meowth. Jesse said they were trying to find out the location of Pikachu (as she continued kicking). "First you get the opponent to relax, than you pump them for info," James says. Meowth scratches them out of their disguises leaving Jesse and James in their normal uniform but lacking their gloves. "I’ll never tell you phonies anything!" Misty says. James grabs her and holds a paintbrush (with yellow paint on it) up against her and tells her she better tell them where Pikachu is if she doesn’t want to look like Frankenstein. Psyduck leaves and leads Ash and Brock to Team Rocket. When they arrive Misty is tied to a chair. "Who cares about the inside, outside counts," James says. Meowth tells Ash the whole scam of Solon Roquete and how it worked. Ash and Brock gets ready to battle. James laughs and presses a button for their own fashion battle platform. Jesse and James have a fashion twist to their usual motto. (I know I didn’t write it all out. If people really want me to, I may eventually add to this –already very long- summary). James is in a red dress with a blonde wig and holding a red rose. Jesse is in a man’s military-like uniform (sword included). "Dazzle them Ekans," Jesse says. "Knock’em dead Koffing," James says. Koffing and Ekans look almost exactly like the posters did with them all dolled up. Geodude gives Ekans a seismic toss. Ekans and Koffing spin around as Pikachu uses its thunder shock. James says, "Koffing cutie, sludge makeover!" Koffing spins around and hits Pikachu’s face and Geodude’s face with sludge. Jesse pulls out her sword for what she thought was the finale but Ekans dress ripped dragging him down and rips Koffing’s dress and he dragging him down as well. "Oh no! It’s a fashion disaster," James says with a Home Alone expression. Meowth coaches them to get back up, and so they do. But Vulpix hits Ekans, Koffing and Meowth with fire spin and with it, it creates a fire tornado, which picks up Jesse and James and spits a burnt Team Rocket into the sky. "We’re blasting off again," James and Jesse say. They all disappear into the distance and make a star-like light in the sky (looks like into a cloud) making a ping sound. Later at sundown, Team Rocket is running away from an angry mob. They jump into the air and all say, "Back to the drawing board" as the screen freezes and shrinks into the crown to reveal the To Be Continued >>> (As the narrator says, "So long, Solon Roquete.")
