Kae's Famous ALMONDOOLAH Soap

(just love that name!)

48 Ounces Olive Oil
8 Ounces Palm Kernal Oil
8 Ounces Sweet Almond Oil
4 ounces Cocoa Butter

16.5 Ounces distilled water
8 ounces Almond Milk *
8.75 Ounces Lye
Tiny pinch of Raw Silk Fiber

I added the raw silk fiber to the water/lye- this reduces the silk fiber to silk protein. Cool this down to 100, and add heated oils (also at 100). At trace, I added the Almond Milk, 3 ounces of Almond FO, and 1/2 cup calendula petals.

* To make the almond milk, I do not use a real recipe... I pour boiling water over a handful of almonds. If you slip the skins off the almonds, your soap will be a lighter color, but if you leave them on, the soap is more of a golden brown color. Then, I grind the almonds up in the water with a stick blender. Oh, use a small amount of water at first. Strain this through a coffee filter or paper towel. Add enough water to make 8 ounces..
I suppose you could add the ground up almonds, or at little. I don't as my DH doesn't care about "exfoliation"!

I have given this recipe to a few people, but if you have it, you may not recognize it....I keep tweaking it! :o)
