Vision Statement

Our vision for New Hope Fellowship is to be a New Testament Church in the Blloomfield area that will bring glory to God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and effectively disciple a people who would take the hope we have in the gospel to the place the Holy Spirit directs them.

In order to fulfill that vision, we must be willing to minister in three ways:

1. To minister to God (in worship, prayer, giving, etc.).

2. To minister to fellow believers (in teaching of the Word, fellowship, gifts of the Spirit, etc.).

3. To minister to the people in the world (in evangelism, outreach ministries, support of missions, etc.).

The Church of Jesus Christ Has Been Called A "Covenant Community

How does a local church experience the joys of covenant relationship?

1. When individuals are being knit, built, framed, and joined together. This speaks of close, longlasting, real friendship.

2. When the spirit of sacrifice becomes the attitude in which the community meets the needs of all.

3. When people want to spend time together in both spiritual and natural activities: church services, picnics, camps, home meetings, sports, family activities, baby showers, and so forth.

4. When the elderly retain proper Godly authority throughout their lives and are cherished and respected by the community.

5. When the children are having modeled before them the character of Christ through the lifestyle of Mothers, Fathers, and single adults.

b. 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each man should give according to what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

5. Be faithful in attending the corporate gatherings of the body.
a. Hebrews 10:25, "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." b. Ephesians 9:19-22, "Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Chief Cornerstone. In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.

From Reinhard Bonnke:
"Candles in candlesticks; light bulbs go into light sockets; trees grow in soil. Without candlesticks, candles would fall over; without being plugged in, light bulbs would never shine; without soil, trees would die. AND. . . for Christians, a church is a candlestick, a power source, somewhere to be rooted, so you can stand, shine, and grow."
