"Leon?!"

"What's your choice?" Ten repeated. Batgirl thought about it, she too had no idea. She supposed there was only one thing she could do. She grabbed Ten by the arm.

"I'm sorry," she said. Ten sighed, but did not struggle. An object flew through the air and made a small cut in Batgirl's hand. She gave a small cry of surprise and pain and pulled her hand off of Ten's arm, and held it in her other hand. Batgirl and Ten looked at where the object had come from. Batman stood there. Their eyes widened in surprise as he walked over next to them. He faced Ten.

"Go," he told her coldly.

"What!?" Batgirl asked him not believing what she just heard, not even thinking of how he found them.

"She did nothing wrong, she only helped," he said not looking at her. Ten stared at him in shock and fear, a common look Batman got. She turned away and ran. Batman wasn't surprised by that, what surprised him was that Batgirl didn't even try to go after her. That scared him, Batgirl and Bruce seemed to be the only things that scared him at all. He gathered his strength and turned around to face her. She just stood there, staring at him, no expression on her face. She learned that from Bruce most likely, among other things. He needed to explain himself, he always had to, but this time he couldn't.

"Batgirl," he started, but she turned away from him and started walking towards her motorcycle. He didn't follow her.

"Bye Leon," Terry said and stuck out his hand. Leon shook it and smiled.

"Bye Terry. Shame Emily couldn't be here to see me off," Leon said looking up at her bedroom window, it was dark inside, Terry was looking at it to.

"Yeah well, she'll miss you too," he said as they looked back at each other.

"Never really has before," Leon sighed.

"She just doesn't show it," Terry said.

"Like Bruce," Leon said and walked towards his car. He waved goodbye and drove off of the property. Terry sighed again and walked into the big mansion, closing the giant doors behind him. He walked up a flight of stairs and down a hallway. He came to a door with a note tapped to it. He pulled it off and read it.

Terry,

It has come to my attention that you don't need or want my help anymore, so I have made a decision to leave. Do not try to find me, you will fail. This is the best thing for the both of us. Tell Bruce I am sorry that we could not work well together, and that I am sorry I did not live up to his expectations. Most of all I am sorry that I could not say goodbye to you myself, but this way is better. Goodbye, Batman.

Sincerely,

Your ex-partner, Emily Grayson

Terry dropped the note and ran into the room. The bed was made and the drawers were empty. He ran out of the room, through the hall, down the flight of stairs, through the door to the batcave, down that flight of stairs and over to the display of costumes. He slowed down and walked to the end, catching his breath. He came to what he feared would be there. Batgirl's costume hung there, and her motorcycle was there too. But her personal motorcycle was gone. He slammed his fist into the case with Batgirl's costume in it. Out of all the things he should have been thinking of, all he could think of was how he was going to tell Bruce.
