"Leon!?"

By: Faita

Snow lightly covered the ground, and the sun was high in the air. The Saturday was a happy one, even up in the high property of the Wayne Manor. Emily and Terry where walking in the small backyard, frozen grass crunched under their feet. Ace followed Emily walking several feet behind her.

"You should really go see it, could do some good," Emily said to him.

"I don't see how, most of the people in it are dead," Terry answered her looking up and the sun and squinting his eyes.

"That's not the point, its Batman history. Bruce would want you to go if he was here," she responded. Bruce had left for a meeting in a near by city, he was not pleased about having to go. But Emily and reassured him the she would handle everything, which she intended to do.

"The History of Gotham's new criminal archives? Why would he want me to go there?" Terry asked her confused.

"They have a lot about what he was up against. You might learn something. Matt wants me to take him to see it, you could come with us," she answered. Ace walked up between them and gazed at the long driveway. Terry and Emily followed his gaze. A dark green car was driving up it towards the manor. Terry looked at it with great concern; Emily watched it with great shock and fear.

"Oh no," she said. Terry looked at her.

"What?" he asked her very concerned.

"Get down!" she yelled as she grabbed his coat shoulder and pulled him to the ground with her.

"Who is that?" Terry asked her in a whisper.

"That's Leon Drake, his father was Tim Drake, the second Robin," she answered back in a whisper.

"Then why are we hiding from him?" Terry asked her.

"We used to date about three years ago," she answered. He stood up quickly.

"That is so childish," he said.

"Agreed. Get down!" she said quickly. Terry shook his head.

"Hey!" a boy about 17 ran towards Terry. He had short black hair and a pair of sunglasses on his eyes. Emily ran off into the bushes. As the boy got closer, Ace ran over to him, with his tail wagging. The boy kneeled down and petted the dog.

"Good boy," he said, he looked up at Terry, "Are you Terry McGinnis?" he asked.

"Yeah, you must be Leon Drake. I've heard, actually very little about you," Terry said as Leon stood up and extended his hand. Terry shook it firmly. Leon took off his sunglasses and placed them in his jacket pocket, he had bright blue eyes.

"I don't doubt that. Bruce doesn't really talk about Dad or us anymore. And I doubt Emily would. Speaking of who, where is Emily?" Leon asked him looking around.

"Emily? She's, ahhumm," Terry said also looking around. They hears a scream and saw Emily jump out from some bushes. She was brushing off her arms frantically. They just watched her. She stopped and looked over at them embarrassed.

"Spiders," she said as her excuse.

"Hello Emily," Leon said as he smiled and walked over to her past Terry.

"Hello, Leon," Emily said in an unhappy tone.
