Graduation

6-97

I ran home each day to get away
But now I'll run no more.
Now my heart, it yearns to stay;
my heart is becoming sore.
I've been surrounded by friends for two years long,
but now we all must leave.
Even though I feel I belong;
There is still more I must achieve.

A school is not just a building,
And we are not just a class.
We are a unit all together,
And our memories are never to pass.
Each person here knows the other,
And each one of us is unique.
We know our hearts are good:
This our actions may not speak.

There are so many things that unite us forever;
Friendship is the main idea.
Our growing up here has brought us together.
Leaving should bring happiness, not fear;
For this is the first of many curves upon the road of life.
