Hi, I wanted to tell you about myself. I live in New York City, in Manhattan. I am 49 years old, divorced with no kids, Italian-American (Sicilian/Calabrese) and a Capricorn.
I work for a private non-profit research agency. I am the Research Department's Graphics and Production Specialist. I have lived in the City all my life and I love it. My beloved 11 year old tan and white tabby named Jerry "Seinfeld" died on September 10, 2008. I miss him very much :(
I graduated from the State University of NY at Albany in 1982 with a BA in English and minors in Journalism and Film Studies. I was the music editor of my school newspaper, the Albany Student Press.
One of my passions is movies. I love art films and regularly attend movie festivals in the city. My favorite films are: foreign, American independent, comedy, drama, and romance. I like any movie that makes me think. I have a videotape library of about 500 films.
I am a big rock and roll fan and I love Neil Young, Phish, Trey Anastasio, Widespread Panic, The Dead, String Cheese Incident, Tea Leaf Green, The Allman Brothers, Derek Trucks Band, Susan Tedeschi, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, The Beatles, The Stones and The Who among many others. I also enjoy jazz, blues, and classical music.
I am also an art lover. I enjoy going to museums and art exhibits. My favorite type of art is Impressionism and Expressionism. My favorite artists include: Monet, Van Gogh, Matisse, Pisarro, Seurat and Munch.
I love sports. Baseball, football and hockey are my favorites. My favorite teams are The New York Mets, The Kansas City Chiefs, and The New Jersey Devils.
I also enjoy playing chess and backgammon and I also teach chess to beginners.
And I love computers of course.
