Description: The younger brother of Ryan O'Reily suffered
severe brain damage during a fight invloving him, his
brother Ryan,
and some Wiseguys. This incident has left Cyril with the
brain of a 5 year old. Ryan's wife Shannon had been taking
care of Cyril single handedly ever since Ryan was
arrested. After Ryan fell in love with Dr. Nathan, he
broke up with his wife and sent Cyril to live with his
cousin. Ryan felt the only thing keeping Dr. Nathan from
returning his love was the fact that she was married. Ryan
sent Cyril to kill Preston Nathan- Dr. Gloria Nathan's
husband. Cyril was arrested for the murder of Preston
Nathan and refused to implicate his brother Ryan in the
murder. Vern Schillinger saw that Cyril is simple minded
and took advantage of him. Vern told Cyril that before
he can take him to see Ryan, he has to do something for
him. Schillinger undressed Cyril and had his way with
him. Ryan found Cyril in the lunchroom sitting with The
Aryans. Schillinger told Ryan he gave Cyril "the royal
welcome". Ryan told Cyril not to let Vern touch him, to
which Cyril replied "I think I did a bad thing". Ryan
told Cyril to punch him which landed Cyril in the hole and away from Schillinger. Ryan desperatley tried to get Cyril into Em City. McManus said the only way he'll let Cyril
into Em City is if Ryan confessed that he sent Cyril to
kill Preston Nathan. Ryan stuck with the story that he
didn't tell Cyril to do anything. After Miguel Alvarez
plucked out the eyes of Officer Rivera, Rivera badly needed a blood transfusion but all the blood banks were out and only one inmate had the same blood type- Ryan O'Reily. Ryan agreed to give the blood only if McManus let Cyril into Em City. McManus abliged and Cyril was transfered to Em City. The next day, Ryan decided to confess that he sent Cyril to kill Preston Nathan. Ryan said that he has to be there to take care of Cyril and that it's time for him to finally be a big brother to him.-----
In Season 3 we found out that Cyril is quite a boxer. Ryan entered Cyril into the Oz boxing tournament and right away started going back to the old O'Reily-he poured some chemical into Robson's water bottle to ensure his brother a victory. Cyril is still getting teased by Schillinger and the other Aryans about the incident hat happenned last season.
