The Kleer Eyes Of Annie

Annie was a true friend to all who knew her. She had a gentle soul, and a heart as big as an ocean. I have asked friends for contributions to this page. Annie was a part of all of us. I also am including the last message she sent to us.

Annie was a kind and giving person. She was always willing to listen and offer her experience. She holds a special place in the hearts of her friends. I still hear the sound of her soft voice.

Our Annie was also a talented poet! I'm putting her poetry here so all can get to know her a little, and see her as we do.

Butterfly Wishes

Yesterday a butterfly

came floating gently through the sky.

He soared up through the atmosphere

then drifted close enough to hear.

I said, "i'd love to fly with you

and sail around the way you do.

It looks like it would be such fun

to fly up toward the summer sun.

But I have not your graceful charm.

I haven't wings, just these two arms.

I've been designed to walk around.

My human feet must touch the ground.

Then magically he spoke to me

and told me what his wish would be.

He said, "what i'd love most to do

is walk upon God's earth with you,

to squish it's mud between my toes

or touch my finger to my nose.

I'd love just once to walk around

with human feet to touch the ground,

but I have not two legs that swing,

I haven't arms, just these two wings."

And so we went our separate ways

in wonder and surprise.

For we'd both seen God's precious gifts

through someone else's eyes.

Dragons

The dragon is a fierce beast that lives within,

guarding his treasure that we call sin.

He greedily clutches our guilt, shame and fear,

knowing that it will in our dreams reappear.

We spend our lives being ruled by this beast,

meanwhile on our soul, he does feast.

In the end a small prison cell we build,

and at hiding we become very skilled.

But in the night when we try to sleep,

into our prison he does creep.

The nightmares follows, as does the pain,

and slowly our lives begin to drain.

Our days become shorter, no time for a smile,

happpiness leaves, even love becomes vile.

We stand alone being afraid to dance,

frightened, to even take a chance.

To slay this dragon you won't need a sword,

this awful beast is not your lord.

Look in the mirrror, and realize at last,

that all this horror is from your past.

All that was has gone its way,

there is nothing more that you can say.

There is only one thing to rearrange,

it's only your vision that you can change.

You must totally forgive for the spell to break,

your soul must become as a white snowflake.

Love must replace all the anger inside,

the kiss of forgiveness, you must provide.

Kiss the dragon right on his ugly nose,

before your eyes, he'll decompose.

He'll turn into a rose so sweet,

whose petals will fall,

at your feet.

Dream Angel

A loving angel came to me in dreams.

She showed me life's not always what it seems

And brought me to a place where sweet dreams live.

She gave to me a gift that I now give . . .

A dreamer's dream.

She whispered, "Take my hand and I will lead you through

A place where only sweet dreams come true.

Close your eyes and open up your heart,

So this flight of dreams so sweet can start.

Dream, Dreamer, Dream."

She brought me through the darkness to the Light

Where colors wrapped around me, such delight,

A patchwork quilt of beauty without seams

Each color was a rainbow full of dreams,

Dreamer's dreams.

She led me through a hallway of pure sound

With doors flung open all around.

And from each room a song would play,

I wished with all my heart that I could stay

In this dreamer's dream.

But we drifted in the fragrance of the breeze

To savor all the flowers and the trees.

We tasted all of life that we could see

And felt it flow in harmony . . .

We dreamed this dreamer's dream.

Then my angel turned her eyes to me and said,

"You are the Keeper of these Dreams inside your head.

Find sweet dreamers who would dream of Love and Light,

These dreams will lead them safely through the night.

Help these dreamers dream."

And so I am the Keeper of this Dream, it's true,

But I offer my dreams to each of you.

May their loving sweetness visit you each night

And fill your soul with Love and Warmth and Light.

Dream, Dreamers, Dream!

Friends Are Like Angels

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Our friends are like angels,

Who brighten our days.

In all kinds of wonderful,

Magical ways.

<3 <3 <3

Their thoughtfulness comes,

As a gift from above.

And we feel we're surrounded,

By warm, caring love.

<3 <3 <3

Like upside-down rainbows,

Their smiles bring the sun.

And they fill ho-hum moments,

With laughter and fun.

<3 <3 <3

Friends are like angels,

Without any wings.

Blessing our lives,

With the most precious things.

<< FRIENDS LIKE YOU

Our Creator must have known there would be times

We'd need a word of cheer

Someone to praise a triumph

Or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need to share

The joy of "little things"

In order to appreciate

The happiness life brings.

I think He knew our troubled hearts

Would sometimes throb with pain

At trials and misfortunes

Or some goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need companionship

Unselfish...lasting...true,

And so the Creator answered the heart's great need

With CHERISHED FRIENDS....like you.

Friends

The old man turned to me and asked

"How many friends have you?"

Why 10 or 20 friends have I,

And named off just a few ~

He rose quite slow with effort

And sadly shook his head

" A lucky child you are

To have so many friends," he said,

But think of what you're saying

There is so much you do not know

A friend is just not someone

To whom you say "Hello"

A friend's a tender shoulder

On which to softly cry

A well to pour your troubles down

And raise your spirits high

A friend is a hand to pull you up

From darkness and despair...

When all your other "so-called" friends

Have helped to put you there

A true friend is an ally

Who can't be moved or bought

A voice to keep your name alive

When others have forgot

But most of all a friend is a heart

A strong and sturdy wall

For from the hearts of friends

There comes the greatest love of all!!!

So think of what I've spoken

For every word is true

And answer once again my child

How many friends have you??

And then he stood and faced me

Awaiting my reply

Softly I answered

"If lucky, one have I

and that one is you.

My First Christmas In Heaven

I see the countless Christmas trees

around the world below

With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars,

reflecting on the snow

The sight is so spectacular,

please wipe away the tear

For I am spending Christmas with

Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs

that people hold so dear

But the sounds of music can't compare

with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you,

the joy their voices bring,

For it is beyond description,

to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,

I see the pain inside your heart.

But I am not so far away,

We really aren't apart.

So be happy for me, dear ones,

You know I hold you dear.

And be glad I'm spending Christmas

with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift,

from my heavenly home above.

I sent you each a memory

of my undying love.

After all, love is a gift more precious

than pure gold.

It was always most important

in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other,

as my Father said to do.

For I can't count the blessing or love

he has for each of you.

So have a Merry Christmas and

wipe away that tear.

Remember, I am spending Christmas with

Jesus Christ this year.

This poem was written by a 13 year old boy

who died of a brain tumor that

he had battled for four years.

He died on December 14, 1997.

He gave this to his mom before he died.

His name was Ben.

VALENTINE

I wanted to send you a Valentine

And thought, oh, what do I do

Just how do you tell a friend

How much they mean to you

They make you laugh, they hold your hand

Or will dry your tears away

They're always there when you need them

Whether it be night or day

When the cards are read and the candy's gone

and a new day starts brand new

You want to smile and need a laugh

Your friends are there for you

So on this day I wish you love

And hope your dreams come true

Tho some may think my poems are strange

It's my way of saying thanks to you

Cupid arrives just once a year

And might think he knows who's who

But it was God who knew my needs

And sent me FRIENDS LIKE YOU

Walk In My Shoes

Walk in my shoes, feel my pain,

your life my dear, won't be the same.

Touch my heart, see my fears,

only then will you feel my tears.

Listen close as the stories told

like an hour glass that all time holds,

know that I have feelings too,

you soon will see I'm just like you.

Walk in my shoes, take the chance,

Don't judge me by your first glance,

You know the world by what you see,

experience not, what soon will be

walk in my shoes, it won't take long,

your judgment passed, you'll see,

was wrong...

"

5/16/99 I had to reinstall my old harddrive last night. When I realized that this was necessary, I wasn't too thrilled about it, but God had His reason's. When I went into the files, this morning, I found a poem of Annies, so here it is. For once I'm grateful to have had a "puter" problem. I've been thinking quite a bit about Annie lately. May-be this is why, I had one last poem here to share with all of her friends.I kind of think that this was a message I needed to find today.

"

Angel Of My Heart...

Today when I was lonely

and no friends were around

I felt the tears fill my eyes

as I was feeling down.

I had no one to talk to

and my troubles seemed so great

That soon I saw no answers

only questions that must wait.

But then I felt a stirring

and the wind carressed my face

I knew that I was not alone

any longer in this place

Although I could see nothing

I talked to you no less

And as you quietly listened

my troubles I confessed.

When done I felt much lighter

like my burdens had been lifted

As if warm arms surrounded me

with a hug, I had been gifted

I knew then as I smiled

and my troubles did depart

That I had had a visit from

the Angel of my heart.

This last piece is a letter written for us by Annie and sent to a friend to be passed on to us after she had gone. Thank you Al for passing this on to us. I also thank those who shared Annie's poetry.

My dear friends:

This was sent to me a while back by Annie, and I am forwarding her wishes to you all this evening.

Annie passed away last night, and is now with wings, and smiling down upon us.

I shall miss her with all my heart, a better friend I could never have had.

God blessed me with her, and will again when I join her.

Al, sweetie, I am sending you this poem. I hope that when I am gone, you will do me a favor and

send it to my friends in FOBW. I will include a list of those I especially want to receive it in another

email. If you would send it to those I don't have on the list that you know would benefit from it.

Good friends like you are hard to find!!! God truly blessed me when He put you in my life.

Letter From Heaven

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say.

But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.

Here, there's no more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through.

God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you.

It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone.

As for your dearest family, They'll be here later on.

I need you here badly, you're part of my plan.

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.

And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.

And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight.

God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.

Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain.

Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.

If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.

I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;

But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too;

That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain;

Then you can say to God at night..."My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented...that my life was worthwhile.

Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low;

Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind;

I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go...from that body to be free.

Remember you're not going...you're coming here to me.

Annie....

Annie dear friend rest in peace, you've earned it friend. Until I see you again.

This is the way I've envisioned you, as our own angel. I feel that you are with us in spirit. You always gave so unselfishly, even when you were so very ill.

Cara, this is dedicated to you and all of Annie's friends. I'm sure I can speak for all of us when I say we miss her.

I found this poem on the web, and I'd like to include it here.

"He Set Me Free"

My life was full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch,
Don't grieve for me, now that I' m free.
I'm following God's path now you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
But please, don't lengthen it with undue grief.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys:
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, those things I too will miss.
Lift up your heart, Peace be to thee,
God wanted me, He set me free.
--author unknown--

Dear God,

Hold our dear Annie in the warmth of your embrace. She is resting in Your care I know. She has truly earned her rest. She was a good representative of You here on earth, so unselfish and loving. She never denied aid to anyone. She often lifted us up when we were down. Annie was a special friend to us all.

Annie was ready to join you, she had told me so. She is now safe in Your care. Thank you Lord for putting Annie in my life. She was one very special lady, a special friend.

Even though I miss her Lord, I know that now she is free of the pain that plagued her here. So please hold her close to Your Heart, she truly is one of your special ones.

This is what I saw when I read her last message to us.

I need to thank someone special here, I don't know if you guys remember SOBRTOMMY, but when I couldn't get the images to show, he spent at least an hour with me fixing them. So thanks Tommy, you're the greatest!
