I was inspired to write this one night when things were not going smoothly with the one I love, and for that one second that everything just sat there like the world had just stopped and the only movement was the beat of our hearts, everything made sense.

the sweet serenity
that travels with a kiss
can muddle one all night
creating a world amiss.
a tilt of the head
a glimmer in one's eye
unspoken words suspended in the air
never to sink, never to die.
scurrying thoughts cower and fall,
a single existence -
melded from two souls
a new universe to sense.
