RAGE met INSANITY in the fall of 1999. While INSANITY has on the verge of death due to the virus given to him by the conspiracy, RAGE taunted him with hopes of survival. RAGE offered him the one thing that could save him: the ancient sword Woundhealer. RAGE was willing to give him the sword under one condition. RAGE wanted to force a confrontation between INSANITY and APOCALYPSE. RAGE wanted to lure INSANITY into pushing his powers like never before. After a physical confrontation nearly urpted, INSANITY chose to leave without the sword(see team history for more info). Only days later the two decide it would be better for them to allies. RAGE has since then joined the team.
