OPERATION: ZERO TOLERANCE was a governemnt funded strike force against mutants in the United States. OZT started in late 1996, with the capture of the founder of the X-MEN, PROFESSOR CHARLES XAVIER. Throughout the following six months, OZT capture half the X-MEN and varies other mutants like JUBILEE, of GENERATION X, CALIBAN of X-FORCE, and X-POSURE member MUTINY.
OZT was led by the mysterious madman known only as BASTION. In the aid against OZT, X-POSURE made a deal involving the S.I.L.F. company (for more info, see team history).
The treat of OZT was finally put to an end when the government sent S.H.I.E.L.D. in the stop them, but not before they made a major impact on the lives of mutants everywhere. Since is defeat, BASTION was captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. but recently broke free. He is believed to have been destroyed in an explosion when hunted by CABLE.
The CONSPIRACY was believed to have invested money in OZT becuase it was stood for everything they do. There is no way of knowing if something like OZT could ever get started again.
