Some Of My Fave Things

As you will see by looking at my web page I love cats, so there are many cats on it...We have a kitten, named Chyna. She is part Siamese. The kids have made her a little crazy, but she is adorable.*g* Unfortunately, Chyna was "taken" by some people down the road from us. Now we have a husky, named Miko, who is about 5 months old. He is cute. I do not actually like dogs as a rule. For one, training them (as I have found with Miko) is not easy .

I also love faeries, angels, and butterflies. I collect angel ornaments, and paint them in my spare time. I have a butterfly tattoo on my ankle, which I just got. Really, though, I love anything cute...!

I love VC Andrews books, as well as those by Stephen King, John Saul, Dean Koontz, and the list goes on... I love to read! One of my favourite books is called "Lizzie Borden" by Arnold R. Brown. I am very intersted in true crime books, and this one is especially great! I have a strange affection for books about serial killers, and I also read books by Ann Rule. Some people think it is psycho to read these books, but I am very interested in the criminal mind.

I have been reading some Freud lately. Tell that to some people and they want to start a debate right away. I have to explain that just because I read Freud, that does not mean I agree with him.

I love music too, and I have a collection of Barenaked Ladies CDs... I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!! They are the very best group. My fave song in the world, however, is "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd.

*Movies I Like:

"Heathers "- A black comedy starring Wynona Ryder and Christian Slater. I've watched it about 15 times.

"Dumb and Dumber" - Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were so funny I almost peed my pants! I've seen this one many times also. I can't get enough of it!

"The Game" - Michael Douglas and Sean Penn. Kind of a conspiracy theme, with a surprise ending.

"Fargo" - This is a dark comedy (at least I think so). It is about murder, mistrust, and bumbling criminals. I love the accents!

"Mission Impossible 2" - I never liked Tom Cruise til I watched this movie *g*. He is superb in this one, it's an action filled movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat! "Breakfast Club" - An 80's movie, starring Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy. Teenagers from different cliques on an all-day detention. It is so funny, I have the movie at home, and have seen it about 30 times since I was 16 years old.

"The Crow" - Brandon Lee in his last role, as a man who comes back from the dead to avenge his and his fiancee's murders. A very dark, sexy movie. I have this one on video too, and have seen it so many times.

*Music I Like:

Barenaked Ladies - I love all their CDs. One song in particular I love is "Straw Hat and Old Dirty Hank" on their "I Was Born On A Pirate Ship" CD.

Pink Floyd - My fave of their songs is "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". You have to listen to it!

Shania Twain - All of her songs are great and her voice is beautiful.
Creed - Some people seem to think they are a Pearl Jam "wannabe" band, but I love their style, and the lead singer's voice is great.

Matchbox 20 - Rob Thomas has the sexiest voice ever! (And he is a babe, lol). Every song by them is great, and I can never get enough of their music. "Bent" is one of my faves by them.

*Must-read Books

Interview With A Vampire- by Anne Rice: Definitely better than the movie. If you like books about Vampires, the occult, you will love this one. Even better is Anne Rice's book The Body Thief!

Carrie- by Stephen King: I first read this one when I was in the 4th grade (yes, my mother knew!) It tells the tale of what happens when students and teachers in a high school enrage a teenage girl with telekenisis.

My Sweet Audrina - by V.C. Andrews: I have all of her books, but the best one is My Sweet Audrina. It is the only book of her that was not a series, and it is about a girl who's family is hiding a deep, dark secret. The secret supposedly revolves around the death of her sister, the "first Audrina." (As some of you may know, Sweet Audrina was my nick for about two years, cuz I loved this book so much.)
