PRESIDENT'S NOTEBOOK introduction Welcome fellow Antitanics….and other...fans…… This is the presiden't official notebook, and I am the President of the Antitanics. A group supporting the heavy criticism of the recent film Titanic. An absolutely overrated and commercialized film. Probably one of the most overrated ever. How we can all survive the hysteria - I will never know. I will never understand why and how so many people can be captivated by such a pound of crap: poor casting, poor dialogue and poor storyline. It paid no tribute to the actual tragedy and the ship. Instead, it turned to a fictional story, and it used the original story to make it seem good enough. Uugh. What a disgrace this was, indeed. We Antitanics have never seen the movie and never will. You may then ask us: "Then how could you know if it is good or bad?" It is simple: when such a phase breaks out as big and annoying as the Titanic hysteria, and when teenage girls go around screaming their heads off, and when such a poor casting job is made, you just know that it is going to be a terrible moment in history. The sad thing is that the media will forever have power over the people of yesterday, today, and yet, tomorrow. A sorrowful thought. Titanic is a part of this media trap, and the trap just becomes worth with its addition. How we will ever get over these circumstances is a lost question of time. How the image of Titanic will ever disappear, is a question that may never be. Help us prove that Titanic the movie is not as special, glamorous, classic and wonderful as the critics of the world, the teenagers and the stupid losers say it is. Be a part of the group who has the guts to speak out against commercialism and overrated crap. Be an Antitanic. We are not only against Titanic, but anything else that may have its way of misleading an audience. Those who are mislead are those who do not succeed in powerful ways with themselves. This modern generation, especially, can fall for almost everything. We hope that this awful Titanic phase will end soon. The notebook entry: April 17 1999 Hello Antitanics: This week, we are looking forward to placing more comments on our site. We have visited a few sites, and have decided which ones have qualified for the 'Site of the Week'. We choose our sites based on the information that is posted on them. If there are stunning features like comical pictures and parodies, or just facts that can humiliate the movie, we will like the site. If you only have a very very long opinion on your website [about the movie], we may consider it, but the sites which come first on our list are the ones with entertaining features.
