REFLECTIONS...
Politically correct or correctly political?
Life is so hollow.....
But sometimes in life, things happen that can change our lives, our views on the world, or influence us enough to find a different cause to fight for. Or perhaps even all three!
These influences can be huge, or they can be small and indiscreet. Sometimes the small and indiscreet things can help bring to life the way things really are around you. Perhaps that is why I built this website. I suddenly realized how mechanical people can be. I knew Marilyn Manson was very intelligent... but I am shocked at how I underestimated him!
Just a year ago, I remember I was so frightened of the guy. I was stupid enough to listen to the media. I thought that his music was Satanic, that he was indeed an Anti-Christ Superstar. I was even afraid to watch his videos or listen to his music. Now I realize how plastic and sheeplike I had been. I'm glad I stopped judging books by their covers.
I started college in September and for the first time, I actually felt REAL. You know why? Because in all of my hellious years in high school I was NEVER allowed to be myself or to express myself. I give Marilyn Manson a lot of credit for throwing that "plasticity rule" aside and actually BEING. Living. It's a funny word that has come to mean a lot. Or does it? What is the rhyme and reason to living? That everlasting eccentric riddle of the human heartbeat.
Humans. Now THERE'S a funny species. So bent on destroying themselves and the environment around them that they never see the "forest for the trees", for lack of a better term. Sampled and souless. Such a beautiful planet has an ugly race to account for it. Humans. So plastic. Manufactured and popped out onto a conveyer belt. Told how to live and not given an explanation. The funny thing is. We don't WANT an explanation. We're as good as dead. Told to be what society admires. Displaced if we are not. Destroyed.
Our imaginations crumble at the hands of the illness in the "normal" human's mind. But of course, it's wrong to think ALL humans are like that. They certainly are
not. But humans ARE afraid to see who they truly are, and even when it's shoved
under their noses, they resist and find every excuse and reason in the book to
dismiss it. In most cases with Marilyn Manson, that book is the Bible.
MARILYN MANSON IS NOT SATANIC. But do you think the media
understands this? Hell, no. (no pun intended) And if we humans don't shape up,
we're going to end up just like they say we will if we listen to Marilyn
Manson's views. Hopeless and disposeable. But in all honesty, it's completely
the other way around. I think if we DON'T at least get the jist of what
Manson is trying to convey, they we are all going to be tagged, stamped, numbered
and put out on the conveyer belt. Each and every human identity going to shit.
