Have a look while this link stays active:
California class-action lawsuit against Microsoft
I would like to see them prove this one.
The owner of any operating system has a monopoly.
Apple is a monopoly. Sun Microsystems is a monopoly.
On and on, and the owner can generate programs better
and cheaper than anyone else.

The problem is the biggest number of receivers at the
consumer end of the web is on one operating system,
the cheapest. Netscape could program a good browser,
but they should have joined Microsoft.

The use of the web is a different story. The server,
browser and HTML or other programming are standard
and any one can use those tools for unique sites.

Sunday morning TV, Meet the Press: my feelings about the discussion.
Who will it be now: the NEXT president.
Personality or Platform?
Also, We'll be glad your gone you rascal you.
What was that about?
And, the REFORM PARTY with $13M, so throw your hat into the ring.

People talk about stocks and people talk about the Kennedys.
They are in the media. FDR appointed grandpa Joe Kennnedy as the
first president of the SEC. As TV coverage recounts the family
history, I become aware of these historical events. Was the SEC created
inpart due to the stock crash? I recall Joe was ready after the
crash and bought up bargains. This event seems to occur on a daily basis
in todays stock market with only the worthy stock giving a steady
increase. So heed the power of the stock market, and someday
people will talk about you.

The search for JFK Jr.'s plane may involve a sonar search.
In lieu of putting up a page at GeoCities under the velocity topic,
at my scientific personal pages, see here some sonar or sound
related material. Velocity in Water

The TEN COMMANDMENTS in public schools, a new government
proposal. It's historical. It's a basis of laws. It's educational.
If you follow it's instruction you may never need a lawyer.
It may be the start of you becoming a lawyer. It's in the fabric of
America and other countries, so why not read it. Maybe every day.

New Gun Laws did not go thru. Also, just heard on the
"Antiques Roadshow" : someone had a special flint lock awarded
to the school boys that thwarted the British at New Paltz, NY.
It was the war of 1812, and the school boys were given rifles
to keep the British from crossing the bridge. The boys won and
were later given the inscribed rifles. I often heard that some
people do not like America because of the right to bare arms.
I could envision scenarios of invasion or modern terrorism, but
the need to work out a proper gun policy is an issue of our time.

That TV commercial with Rolling Stones music just aired
again in NY. This time I got a piece of it.
I have noticed TV auto and other commercials using past
pop hits. This one I can't place. Any person may email
me with the title if they know it. The answer will appear
here: "Unknown". You may download the wav file with the
captured notes. So listen to this
Sorry, word just came in, it's not the Rolling Stones.
More later.
The tune is from David Bowie's Rebel Rebel from the Diamond Dogs
album. Thanks to keno.org (http://keno.org) for the id.
By the way, I heard Bowie has stock issued, I guess he is a Corp.
now. I always wanted rights to a few of my favorite songs.
Pick'm low. Michael Jackson has Beatles songs, The Beatles have
rights to 1940's songs like "I'm Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover"

In a local Long Island and NYC Newspaper: "One in 100 people
suffers from schizophrenia ... ". How many people do we meet
in a year or lifetime? How about 40,000 people at a stadium?
It is not that obvious what person may be affected.
Each one in 100 may have a different degree of the disorder.
Update: due to criminal activity by some ill people, new laws
may be enacted. Obviously there are degrees of illness, but all
need care and under standing.

12/18/1998 Friday 6:00 PM At 12:00 Noon the president will be
impeached but not convicted. The Senate has yet to vote. Andrew
Johnson missed conviction by one vote. He was considered "soft
on the south" after the Civil War and the death of Lincoln.
But because he fired officials over the approval of the government
may have been the real reason. Who else fired government officials?
Seeking not to limit of president's power was the reason for not
convicting.

12/17/1998 On TV I saw the steps of the Capitol in Washington
with protesters, I knew it, it never fails. Over night, foreign
affairs rule, the president escapes impeachment.

12/15/1998 There hasn't been a good march on Washington in 30 years.
I don't believe they do any good from what I remember.
So listen to this
Update: That link is out. The words go like this, it's not
the same as hearing it. The music link ends up at CDNOW, then try a
title search.

12/14/1998 Not to worry, he won't be back.
There is more than in the articles of impeachment that is behind
the president's impending removal.
If you are against impeachment, you better march on Washington until
the last vote is in.

12/09/1998 I am not up on this, but if impeached.
Can the president run for office again? Ponder that.

11/24/1998 AOL buys Netscape.
AOL is in control. The most online. The browser.
Next Yahoo! and Amazon.com, can we breathe on the internet please.
Forget Microsoft, watch out for AOL. Look at Cable Vision taking all
the NY sports teams, what is that. Call for a free media. These guys
have too much. Which brings up my pet peeve. Microsoft was banned
from buying a tax software company, meanwhile the company that has
Turbo Tax bought another Tax Software company - the one I used.
Now that was straight out elimination of competition. Well Microsoft
has announced a Tax Program of their own, guess what I will buy.
The Netscape browser was the most net worthy, Microsoft had some good
features but I found the page loading strange compared to Netscape.
I would have banned Microsoft from making browsers, but not now.

10/07/1998 Bogus play a first base.
Umpires rule though. NY Yankees
lose game #2 with Indians.

09/22/1998 "Read my lips. No new taxes." Remember? I heard children
in the streets repeat "Read my lips." in their communications.
Big mistake. Before that they talked about Andre The Giant.
The feel of majority power held up government checks.
Remember that? FBI files on JFK and MLK? I suppose there are.
Will Whitewater make Bill Clinton go away, hardly. Will bad example
be hard on the children. Based on what I remember, things might be
getting better.

09/15/1998 Swiss Air plane used in flight 111 had a relay repair
that caused short circuit when first replaced. That's what I
hear from radio reports. Relays have failure rate based on
electrical loading, frequency of use and integrity of
construction. Perhaps the last is of greater importance, since
operation within specification is assumed. The mis-repair may
have caused other problems. Every last detail of part construction
to operation and maintenance may have to be monitored. Vibration in
use can be simulated by shaking the entire plane, but do we have to
test every plane 100%?

Could it happen again?
But worse? Read this book

09/11/1998 My prediction, Impeachment to last until end of term.
Then will whimper out.
Nobody is perfect. Purity can not be achieved without the help
of God, a lot of help.
