Poetry

In this section I've decided to include a poetry page to let my visitors express themselves. It is an open canvas, and I would love to add some of your work to it. Please don't be shy; send some of your work to me at Flite4484.

Breaking Away

By Flite

Wading in the shallow coast;

I think of you only to forget

saddness and sorrow bound by love.

And stop to remember the good times;

carefree and yet painfully near you.

The breeze through your light brown hair,

a shadow of the past pulls me away.

I watch the flowers bloom,

peach petals soft as your cheek.

Tenderly I wipe away the dewdrop of a tear

formed effortlessly over passing seasons.

But as they change so do I .

Puling back from my unbreakable habit only to discover;

Without you I am whole.

An Angel

By Flite

A voice that echoes from far away

and a laugh that rings like a thousand golden bells,

A lone face enchants my mind.

The face of an angel;

Reminds me of love.

Frost on a cool winters morn.

a candle burns within,

The Seraphim enchant me;

I see your face again.

Time

By Flite

I look back upon myself;

Painstakingly ignorant yet blissfully so.

The world revolved around me but now I too move,

and the trip seems too much to bear,

yet oddly comforting.

Lost in thought as I never was before,

I see the effects of the hourglass;

I feel the changes.

The pentacle is my sun now;

The dreamers are my stars.

Plastered on a multicolered canvas

the colors drip away;

Another year is gone.

Leaves

By Flite

Brightly colered autumn leaves

ripen to their prime,

fire covering the woods

while green is left behind.

Slowly though the days they pass,

and many a leaf is layed to rest,

upon the ground with parched brown grass,

footsteps falling on the best.

Soon the trees are all left bare,

with winter winds around the bend,

but those who through th ecoldness fare

will be rewarded at winters end.

Rose

By Flite

Forgive me as I stare;

It is rare to find a rose growing in the winter.

Cold and alone but I have found you'

and could never love you any more;

I would explode.

Desire overwhelms me.

My tears freeze and shatter as they wet my cheeks.

I sit hear wondering where you are;

Lost until I find you.

Cold and alone I watch you blossom.

You

By Flite

Looking into your eyes

a thousand mile away;

so close at another time,

are spacing themselves even more every day.

Longing to find what once was there,

I trace back through our starry existence;

and wondering what I could have changed,

it just doesn't feel the same.

I miss feeling like you were the only one,

and depending on you for everyhting;

but maybe you were the dependent one,

and I am not strong enough for the both of us.

And as the sands of time roll back across the hills,

and hours slip through my fingers;

I look at you only to discover,

What I truly desired was inside me all along.

My Perfect World

By CME14

In a world that's bright

and full of light

Where it's safe to walk

on the streets at night

Where everyone walks

hand in hand

and no one's left out

and no one is banned.

A place where everyone

has a friend

and no one's lonely

in the end

A place where everyone has a home

and no one's left with streets to roam

I often wish these things were true

A perfect world for me and you.
