AUDI 100 INFORMATION

The throttle body modification for Audi 2.8L V6 12V consists of boring the primary venturi to provide more airflow at lower RPM's. About 28% more air is flowed at 1/3 throttle, which adds up to about an 8 hp gain.
On a stock engine, this modification eliminates the low RPM "doggy" effect, which is common on these engines. We feel this is the most significant performance improvement for the dollar you can spend for your V6. Automatic transmission owners will really be impressed. AUDI SUPERCHARGER FOR THE 12V 2.8 V6

The recent boom of aftermarket performance products have brought a stampede of aftermarket goodies for many of the import vehicles, especially Hondas, Acuras, Toyotas, Mitsubishis, and Nissans. However, there seems to be a product void for European cars. Many people might have forgotten that European cars are also imported including; Volkswagens, Audis, BMWs, Mercedes, Porsches, Volvos and Saabs. One of the reasons for the lack of aftermarket accessories for European vehicles is because of the often hefty price tags. People who can afford these vehicles are generally more conservative with fixing it up. European performance enthusiasts are limited to only a few bolt-on products and suspension upgrades. Fortunately for Audi A4 2.8-liter V6 owners, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel for people who have the need for speed.

Performance Engineered Systems (PES) has recently developed a supercharger kit for the Audi 2.8-liter 30-valve V6 engine. Company founder, Tony Ricci and prototype engineer Mike Nuskey have spent the past year perfecting the supercharger kit. With background racing experience in the SCCA, PCA, SBRS and EMRA racing series they knew what performance enthusiasts wanted.

Tony and Mike wanted to develop a supercharger kit for the 30-valve Audi but did not want to just throw a kit together. Anyone who owns a 2.8-liter V6 Audi knows that there is not too much room to work within the engine bay. After several months of fitting and refitting Tony and Mike finally came up with the final bracket and piping design for the kit. All of the brackets and fittings are CNC machined from billet aluminum for a perfect fit. Each piece of bracketry is also hard-coat anodized for added durability. After the Eaton M62 supercharger was neatly fitted into the engine compartment it was time to move on to the fuel management system. From the beginning Tony and Mike decided they did not want to use a rising rate fuel regulator for fuel management. People who have owned boost dependent regulator know that they are not very predictable . One minute it will raise the fuel pressure up to 50 psi at three pounds of boost, the next time it will raise the fuel pressure to 55 psi at three pounds of boost. Tony and Mike knew that if this happened it would alter the performance of the kit. They decided to swap the stock injectors for 310cc RC Engineering injectors and completely re-map the entire Bosch Motronic ECM. Tony and Mike wanted to produce a supercharger kit that performed and drove like it came from the factory. After trying a number of aftermarket European chips and having only limited success they decided to reprogram the chip themselves. With some help from Garrett Lim, Tony and Mike spent the next several months reprogramming the chip to accommodate the supercharger. After a year of perseverance, the Audi A4 2.8-liter V6 equipped with the supercharger kit dyno tested at 280 horsepower and 262 lbs-ft of torque. That's a 90-horsepower jump with the 5.5 psi kit. The supercharger kit includes all the necessary hardware for bolt-on application. It includes the supercharger, brackets, piping, injectors and all the necessary hardware. the kit can easily be installed by any qualified mechanic in a couple of hours. The supercharger system is made for all Audi A4, A6 or VW Passats with 2.8-liter 30-valve V6 engines. We had the opportunity to experience the power of the supercharger as we took a test drive of the Audi A4 station wagon down Pacific Coast Highway. The Audi operated smoothly driving down the coast but as soon as the hammer is dropped the A4 screams pass all slower traffic. When performance is in the blood and there is a need for speed, the PES supercharger kit for your Audi is the answer.

This cold air intake replaces your restrictive air box, for improved air volume and velocity and increased horsepower. A better breathing engine also gives you faster throttle response.
