Day 7
Saturday November 13, 2021
The day starts with us docking in San Pedro. It's a bummer to be back but it's the beginning of another leg of the trip.
After getting back to the pier I took the hotel shuttle back to the place we stayed prior to the cruise and picked up a car at Enterprise. Our flight back to Vegas isn't until 5:45pm this evening so renting a car will give us some flexibility.
I reserved an SUV for $88 all in. Again this was cheaper than anything else around.
I was assigned a Toyota Highlander with 39,000 miles on it. I returned to the hotel and loaded up our luggage and all of us were ready to go.
I had plans to meet up with Yahtzee Mike and Camela. It also happens to be Camela's birthday. They met us at the hotel and we made plans to go eat.
We went to a Mexican Restaurant in San Pedro. A good time was had by all. Thanks for lunch Mike.
Next up we drove to Long Beach and spent some time down there. We went our separate ways after this and started heading back to the airport.
I found the area to return to Enterprise. Things went well here and we were off to the terminal. I just had to drop off the suit case because I checked in online yesterday. I ended up with B1. Dropping the bag was easy and next was security.
Security went so well. There was no one there.
We got to the gate and waited for the flight to board. We were way too early and spent too much time in the terminal. It was a situation where where it was too early to be at the airport but too late to go do anything else.
This is flight 3485 non stop from Long beach to Las Vegas with a scheduled flight time of 1 hour and 5 minutes but we were informed by the captain it was only going to take 40 minutes.
The flight was smooth sailing. We landed in about 35 minutes. I think this was a record getting back to Vegas from California.
When we landed it was the usual taxi and then off to baggage claim. The bags were already out when we got to baggage claim. To the rental car shuttle we went. I reserved a premium car with Avis using a discount code through my job for $165 base and $257 all in.
They had me set up with a Nissan Altima with 15,000 miles on it. We loaded up the car and I took Anne and Steve home and then took Evelyn home after that.
At this point the cruise vacation was over and part two of the Las Vegas vacation was about to begin.
From there I was off to Suncoast where I'd be spending the next 3 nights. I booked this through their website with no extras. Normally I wouldn't do that but I wanted a place to stay at for a few nights where I didn't need to run a ton of action. This will come in handy to protect the gains from earlier in the trip.
Checking in was easy because it was so late. I was given room 353. This is a king room. It has night stands on each side, a dresser with fridge and TV.
The other half of the room had a couch and small dining room table that also doubles as a work desk. The bathroom is basic with a dual sink vanity on the outside and the toilet and shower are in a separate room.
There is a view of the golf course.
I didn't really have any plans to gamble tonight so I just wandered around and played some penny games with no wins or losses.
I was hungry so went to the deli and got a turkey club sandwich and French fries and came back to the room to eat it.
I decided to just end the night here because it had been a long day and I was beat.
Total win/loss for the day + $0
Total Comps for the day $175
