Soap Opera Stars - May 1985

Ever since Melody's poster was released last July it's been selling like hotcakes and has well surpassed the 100,000 unit mark. However, some retailers think the poster is too hot to handle and refuse to sell it. Ironically, Melody is less revealed and more fully-clothed that similar poster subjects. To find out what all the fuss was about, Melody, publicist Bob Olive and photographer Dick Zimmerman spoke with Playboy editor Hugh Hefner, whose magazine had once published the "Vargas Girl" pin-ups that Melody's poster is patterned after. Hefner wouldn't comment on the poster, but he did ask Melody to appear in Playboy, an offer she graciously turned down.
