The expression "All in the family" probably rings true nowhere louder than behind the scenes of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, where at least a dozen cast and crew members share family ties to the entertainment business.
       .....At the home of Melody Thomas Scott and husband Ed, the show's producer, the Nikki/Victor/Jack triangle is a frequent subject at the dinner table.  "We love to talk about the show," says Ed.  "It's fun.  I think it's the best that we both work on the same show.  I love my job, she loves hers and we love to talk about it.  Quite honestly, I don't think it helped my first marriage too much that my wife wasn't in this business.  It's a consuming industry, a consuming job and you can't help but bring it home.  If you can't because the other person doesn't understand, it can make you estranged."
