MELODY THOMAS SCOTT SPORTS A NEW 'DO

Melody Thomas Scott showed up at the Emmys sporting a new hairdo. "It just happened," says Scott. "I have a wonderful guy, Maurice Tannenbaum, who does my hair and makeup when I'm here in New York, which is two or three times a year. He trims my hair because there's nobody in L.A. that I trust. He's wonderful. He used to be in New York, but now he's in Philadelphia. He came in just for me." The beautiful blonde actress adds that she keeps bribing Tannenbaum to come to L.A., but he won't. "I know it's going to need upkeep, so I'll either find somebody at home or I'll let it grow back again. It grows so fast. That's why I'm not afraid to cut it, because if I don't like it, it will grow back fast." Scott's husband, Ed, was all for the new do. "Edward would come in and out of the room every now and then, and say, 'Keep going.' "
