Cable Track for Robotic Cell. This Mezanine is used to keep the cables used by a robotic cell. The structure is made to hold four clusters of cables, each one able to move independently from the others. THK rails were used to guide the cable carriers.

Cable Track for Robotic Cell. Side view of the Mezanine. It is 10ft wide and made out of I-beams and rectangular beams. The structural rigidity of the Mezanine was verified using FEA.

Cable Track for Robotic Cell. Side view of the SoldiWorks model of the Mezanine. The cable tracks are visible.
Cable Track for Robotic Cell. Longitudinal view of the Mezanine. It is 40ft long. The top of the Mezanine was designed to hold the hydraulic circuitry and the weight of three operators. | |

Cable Track for Robotic Cell. Longitudinal view of the SolidWorks model of the Mezanine. The guarding rails are visible.
Cable Track for Robotic Cell. The cable tracks are visible here. They are suppoorted by ball bearing assemblies along the length of the Mezanine (more visible in the SolidWorks model picture-the following one) |
Cable Track for Robotic Cell. The SolidWorks model of the Mezanine. The cable track supporting system is more visible. Transversal rigidity was ensured by using transversal elevated frames, to allow for the cable tracks to move.
