Day 2

Today we were up pretty early still being on east coast time. We started off with a trip to the gym for a while and then came back to the room to get ready for the day.

For breakfast we went to Fremont Buffet. It's as basic as it gets but the price is right and it's even better when you use points to cover the cost.

Now it was time to go back to the D to get some play in. On the way there as we were leaving the Fremont I found a $20 bill at the exit. Thank you to whoever left it there for me.

The first stop was the players club to activate my POV coupon that's good for $5 free play for every 50 points. While there I also got my food vouchers that we'd be using later during the stay. Since they recently downgraded their deuces wild machines to an unacceptable pay table today's game of choice is 8/5 bonus. The plan was to play 10k through the machines playing on my card only. Things here were ok for me but Dee was getting beat up. Hands of note were just a couple of quads and I got out even.

We took a break and went upstairs and played at the bar. Things were better here with Dee hitting a progressive quad that was $44 instead of the normal $31. I was up and down and made a hail Mary attempt on the DDB game. The regular quads were over $80 and the bonus quads were approaching $200. I got dealt quad 8's and took down the progressive and switched back to bonus poker. Things continued to be decent but with some swings. We took a short break about even for the session.

When we returned to the machines we continued to pound away. Dee was hitting some quads but I wasn't. I had dwindled down to Hail Mary area so I switched to the DDB game again. This time around I busted out. I popped in another bill and decided I'd try a few more hands at DDB and nailed quad 2's for the 743 coin progressive.

We were now going to go over to the Golden Nugget to check in and we would move over there later on. On the way out we stopped by the roulette table to play my two $50 match plays. The first one I played on black and black 29 came up. On the second spin I took odd and red 3 came up for a total of $200 won and we were dead even for the day at this point.

We couldn't get to the Golden Nugget because some douche bag was going to jump off of one of the buildings so the area was shut down. I could have made it by going around the long way but decided to just go do it later.

We came back here to the room and watched TV for a while before we went to dinner.

Dinner tonight was at Andiamo using some of the food vouchers that came with the room. I had the giant meatball appetizer and the porterhouse steak. Dee had some pasta dish that was like ravioli and a salad. She said they were very good as was my steak and the meatball. The total bill was just under $100 so we used two $50 vouchers and the server's tip was that $20 bill I found this morning. Thank you again to whoever dropped it there!

After dinner I ran over to the Golden Nugget to check in taking the long way around. The plan was actually to go over here and stay but we decided since it was late and we still wanted to play more at the D we'd just stay there tonight. I checked in quickly and was assigned room 6 – 24. This is a handicap accessible room with 2 queens beds, a night stands, dresser, flat screen TV and sitting area. It has a view of the 4 Queens. The bathroom is 2 rooms with the vanity on the outer room and the inner room has the toilet and roll in shower. I threw the do not disturb sign on the door and came back over here to the D.

We hit the machines again to get the rest of the action in for the day. Nothing major happened here other than a few quads and we had finally hit our play goal. By the time we ran through the 10k to max out the coupon we were down just over $100 on our video poker play for the day.

I went back to the players club to get my additional $100 free play added. With $200 in free play available I decided to run it through quarter 8/5 bonus with a progressive. I was able to run it through but hit very little and turned it into just $111. This was not exactly the way I had hoped.

With our play in we called it a night and came up here to the room for some TV and sleep.
