Day 6
Thursday September 26, 2013
This morning we were up early and started off with some food in the room for breakfast We got ready or the day after that and started off with shopping over at the outlet mall. We scored some great deals over there at Burke's by getting 5 pairs of shoes for Dee for less than 7 bucks, tax included!
We went over to Bullhead City and hit Big Lots for a few things and then Safeway for a few more. Along the way we stopped at Jack in the Box for a few of their tacos to hold us over until dinner.
We came back in hit the video poker machines for a short session before dinner. Nothing major happened here other than my popping a set of aces while Dee dropped a bit. In total we actually broke even for the session and it was time to eat.
For dinner we had 6pm reservations at the Vineyard. We finally tried this place out on our last trip and really liked it. They offer upscale Italian food as opposed to pizzeria style. We started with a fried zucchini appetizer which was very good. It was a whole zucchini quartered and coated with panko and served with ranch and marinara. Dee ordered the shrimp and pasta pomodoro that came with a side salad. I ordered the chicken Marsala and minestrone soup. The chicken was really good but the serving was weak with just one small chicken breast filet and some pasta on the plate. I expected a little bit more for the $19 price tag. For dessert Dee got the apple crumb pie with ice cream and I had the tiramisu. In the end all the food was good and the total with some drinks was under $70.
It was time to head back to he casino and we hit the half dollar machines this time. Dee was hovering for a while but needed to reload. I was hovering too but in a more streaky way. I was getting ready to quit with a small profit and switched to double-double. On one of the first hand I hit deuces w/o the kicker and switched back to bonus. By the time we quit we were down just $50 for the day.
We switched to triple play and things for me were streaky. Dee hovered for a long time before needing a new bill but I was bleeding despite hitting aces. I switched machines and hit some quads playing DDB and returned to my original machine. We both cashed out with losses to keep with the recurring theme of the trip so far and headed to bed.
Total win/loss for the day- $350
Total Comps for the day $105
Total number of eff bombs for the day = 28
