Day 17
Thursday July 7, 2011
Today we started off with some video poker action. I wasn't hitting much but hovered for most of the session. I ended up needing a second bill. Dee was doing well and got ahead a bit and took a shot switching to dollars. Shortly after she switched she got dealt quad 8's. She was pretty excited about that hit. She kept plugging away and switched back to quarters when things dried up. I kept going as well. In the end we only cashed out even though. This probably wasn't the best move but we got a lot of play and didn't lose anything.

For lunch we hit Cafe Aquarius. Dee got their Signature Chicken sandwich. It's a chicken breast with lettuce tomato and sauce on a wrap with fries. I got the Gobbler and that is a turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry sauce on it. It also comes with fries. The food was really good and would hold us over for a while.

We walked over to the outlet mall after lunch and hit a few stores. Dee scored some perfume and we picked up a few items at Burke's Outlet as well. The computers were down at Burkes so we left our order there and told them we'd be back later on. They could have processed us manually but we had a reward coupon and wanted to get credit on our loyalty card.

We played more video poker after lunch. We were both hitting enough quads to keep playing and got plenty of dealt winners. Dee got ahead and switched to dollars and nailed a set of $400 aces on her very first hand. She switched right back to quarters after that. I was ahead a little and switched to 10-play and Dee looked over and says "Why are you playing that?" to which I responded because it's fun as I nailed our 4th royal of the trip. We cashed out this session with about $1300 in winnings between us and took a break.

Our break was at the pool for a while but not too long because it was too hot outside, the water was like a bath tub and there were a bunch of people having fun there making way too much noise. I wasn't bothered by the noise but it wasn't good for relaxing!

We got cleaned up once we were done with the pool and hit the casino again. We couldn't hit much of anything this time and dropped $250 between us and headed to dinner.

For dinner we went to Outback Steakhouse where there was 45 minute wait. My guess is this place is so busy because during the week they are closing the cafe at 2pm. I had the ribs and Dee had some pasta with shrimp en fuego. For an appetizer we had cheese & bacon fries. My meal was good but Dee said her shrimp were overcooked and like rubber.

We hit the video poker machines one more time after dinner. I couldn't hit much of anything and other than getting dealt quad fives I didn't hit any other quads but Dee held her own cashing out even.

We swung by the gift shop when we were done playing and looked at over priced merchandise and grabbed a few snacks before coming back up here for the night.

Total win/loss for the day $850
Total Comps for the day $330
