Day 14

Today is the last day of the trip. I don’t really have anything special planned so I started the day off by hitting Terrible’s to play some VP and to get some more gas cards. Against my better judgment I tried the ten play machines again. Things started out much better than they did yesterday. I was getting dealt winners and connecting on the smaller hands. I still didn’t get a fair amount of quads but hit aces early on. Later in the session I was dealt three 4’s and hit quad 4’s with a kicker on 2 lines. The only problem with that is I was playing bonus poker. This got me quite a bit ahead and I switched to DDB hoping for a big hand. A few hands later I hit quad 4’s wit a kicker for $200. I cashed out a little after getting my 3000 points with a $306 win.

After video poker I had lunch at the Bougainvillea Café. I had the chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese on rye. The food is 1000X better here in the café than it is in the buffet across the hall.

I came back to the Hard Rock after lunch and packed up some of my stuff for tomorrow’s trip home. I’m bummed already just thinking about it.

After a short break I hit the tables again here at the Hard Rock. Things were good here at first. I quickly got ahead and stayed level for a while. Then the table turned. Since it was early and I had dropped about ½ of what I was up I decided to take a break and walked away with an $800 win and went up to the room to watch TV for a while.

After the break I hit the casino again. I was going to play craps but the tables were packed. While I was walking around I saw Rich and Dawn playing VP and hung out with them for a little while. They went to eat dinner and I got onto a craps game. Since this was the last night I’d be paying I took a portion of what I was up and decided to fire up the bets from the start. I was up and down for a while not getting too far ahead and not getting too much into the hole. Rich and Dawn stopped by after dinner and I was still about the same level. They went to play more VP and I stayed at the craps table. I still couldn’t get ahead but the table wasn’t a killer either. Rich and Dawn came back and Rich got into the game with me. We were both doing ok and then a few good shooters got me out of a hole and up. I couldn’t shoot well tonight only hitting a number or 2 before going out. This whole trip I hadn’t had a very good roll at all. We had one shooter that didn’t have a huge roll but was hitting lots of repeating numbers and that was good for us come players. He also hit 4-5 points along the way and I had fired up my bets quite a bit at this point. By the time he went out I was up over $3500 this session. Unfortunately the next 4 – 5 shooters were awful, including me and Rich. It was now going on 3am so between that and the swing on the table we got out while the getting was good. I finished up with about a $2500 win. This wasn’t a bad way to finish up the trip.

After I cashed out Rich left and I went to Mr. Lucky’s and got some chicken fingers and ice cream. Everything was good and I finally hit the bed at about 4am. Tomorrow is going to suck having to go home.
