My Testamony of the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints

My Testimony

I was in jail one knight when I realised that when I had previously knocked it was opened but my heart was hardened at the time.I then gave my life to the lord and decided to change my way of life.I wasn’t all that bad but I was a drunk that’s enough to put a soul through immense tormentIt was time for change.

Wile in jail I looked I the news paper checking out all the churches.Trying to decide which to goto when I get out.I knew they all had different ways and beliefs so I wasn’t sure which to join.I figured a none denominational church would probably be the best bet.

Just a short time after I got out I still hadn’t decided. That’s when I ran into the missionaries on my way home. They asked if they could stop by my house and share the gospel with me.I didn’t want to seem rude so I said yes. After they came by for the second time the ideas they presented weighed heavily on my mind.I even started to consider it might be true.So I asked my Father know he would answer, for he never failed me yet. When in jail I always received an answer to my prayers so I knew I would this time. Most of all I really wanted to know.I got an answer.

I asked him to let me know by the holy ghost wile I was reading.I picked up the Joseph Smith pamphlet they gave me and started to read. When I got to the part were Joseph was confused on witch church to join and decided to seek to Lord’s wisdom. That’s when it hit me.A fire burned in my chest as a cool breeze crawled up my spine.

I know that the Church is true,Joseph Smith was a prophet and Gordon B. Hinkley is a prophet.I testify to these truths in the name of Jesus Christ.Amen.
