" SABBATH DAY"

Before we start let us ask for a word of wisdom in YeSHua's precious name ... Amen!
*****************************************************************************************

Greetings Brothers and Sisters.

Many will try and teach you that you must rest on a certain day. Mainly the
7th day. They will even argue amongst themselves, if this is Saturday or
Sunday.

We are going to prove in His word that our resting place is not in a day,
but in Christ. We are going to prove in His word that when you rest in
Christ, you are in keeping with the Sabbath.

First let us define "Sabbath." This word Sabbath in Greek goes back to the
prime in the Hebrew. When you take the word "Sabbath" back to the prime
word in the Hebrew you have:

7673. shabath, shaw-bath'; a prim. root; to repose, i.e. desist from
exertion; used in many impl. relations (caus., fig. or spec.):--(cause to,
let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep (sabbath), suffer
to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take
away.

So you see here this word "Sabbath" in the English when taken all the way
back to the prime in the Hebrew means "REST!"

Colo 2:16 (KJS) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in
respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which
are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Notice it stated sabbath "DAYS." Why? Because the body is of Christ. Our
Resting place is of Christ.

Mark 2:27 (KJS) And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not
man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the
sabbath.

Since He is the Lord of the Sabbath and the Sabbath was made for man and not
God. Therefore, if you have Christ in you, the comforter, the Holy Spirit,
then would you prevent that Christ which is in you from fulfilling His
overall plan? His work? As if you could.

Hebr 4:3 (KJS) For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As
I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the
works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Here you have it. We which believe, enter into the "sabbath," the body of
Christ. Our resting place. Do not let some con artist tell ya you need to
repent for working on a certain day. WE do NOT worship a day. We worship
Christ everyday!!! We put on the body of Christ not one day but everyday.
We put the load on His shoulders.

Hebr 4:9 (KJS) There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For
he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as
God did from his.

Simply put He that put on Christ, rest from His works.

Hebr 4:10 (KJS) For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased
from his own works, as God did from his.

Reve 21:22 (KJS) And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and
the Lamb are the temple of it.

Matt 11:28 (KJS) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek
and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Matt 12:8 (KJS) For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Roma 14:6 (KJS) He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and
he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that
eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth
not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7 For none of us
liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

Rom 14:6 give everyday to the Lord. For what can you accomplish on anyday
without Him?

1Tim 1:8 (KJS) But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the
lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and
profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Luke6:5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the
sabbath. (KJV)

Stay in His Word EveryDay and you will find rest. Amen!
