The idea for "Modvind på kanalen" (Modvind on the Channel) arose in the winter of 2022-23, when we didn't have very many jobs on the calendar. After more than 30 years on the road, thoughts of calling it quits as a group were slowly starting to appear, and as 18 years had passed since the previous CD release, we could appropriately think about a new album, and then take the future from there.
We contacted Jesper Vindberg from “She's a Sailor” and fortunately he agreed to produce for us. During February-May we recorded the thirteen tracks in the residents house by the canal in Ans, Denmark.
The thirteen tracks are a good mixture of songs we've had in our live repertoire for a long time and a handful of completely "new" ones.
As can be seen from the selected tracks, we have a good starting point in both classic and more modern folk music, but not least in pop/rock from the 1960s and 70s.

"Modvind på kanalen" was recorded during March - June 2023 in an improvised studio "Ved Kanalen" in Ans, Denmark. The album was produced by Jesper Vindberg (She's a Sailor) who also contributed to the instrumentation on several of the 13 tracks.
