Comments:

After the somewhat disappointing "Everything" now, Arcade Fire has come back strongly with "We". They are back in the classic rock tradition, where good songwriting is paramount and where there is also great variation arrangement and instrumentation. Without going into more detail on the lyrics, you feel as always that the group has something on their mind.

Many of the tracks have more musical parts, and the album could have been split up in more separate tracks than just the seven. Some tracks require some time to get a "hold on", while others are immediately accessible and catchy; without, however, being mainstream pop in any way.

Both “Unconditional I and“ The Lightning I, II ”have been played diligently here on Danish national radio, which is something unusual for rock music at the more progressive end. Both of these songs are favorites of mine, along with the title track "We", which with the distinctive acoustic guitar, gives me a similar feeling as when I first heard "Wish You Were Here" with Pink Floyd.

A great album and a strong comeback.
