Comments:

"Moon Pix" is often considered as one of Cat Power's strongest albums. Personally, though, I have other favorites; e.g. "The Greatest" and "Wanderer"; Although Shan Marshall's voice is both strong and moving, the individual songs do not easily stick with me and in their simplicity often sound too much alike.

However, I would like to bring forward one of the most melodic songs, "Metal Heart", which also has fine vocal harmonies. Also "Back of Your Head", "Colors and the Kids" and "Cross Bones Style" belong to the good end of the album Musically, Cat Power may remind you of Kurt Cobain's more subdued songs and Alex Chilton on the legendary ”Big Star 3rd”.
