Miss B. Haven's eponymous debut album from 1987 is actually quite strong and promising. Apart from the somewhat unexpected heavy version of Dolly Parton's "Jolene", all songs are written by the group's lead singer Lise Cabble.
Some of the group's best-known and beloved songs are to be found here. "Coco" was a solid success as single and one of the album's highlights. Otherwise, favorites are the catchy mid-tempo rocker " Bliv Sammen med Mig ", the almost rockbilly-country song " Lęg dig ind under himlen " and the great end-song "So Sov Sov Sov". These four songs must also have been among the group's own favorites, as they chose to re-record them for their third and English-language album "Nobody's Angel", which also included re-recordings of songs from their second album "On Honeymoon" .
The remaining numbers are mostly solid rock, with roots in varying styles; e.g "Heavenly Workout" is almost jazzy.
All in all, a promising album from the four girls, who, from the third album, would be five.
