Comments:

"My Iron Lung" is an EP Radiohead released in 1994 after "Pablo Honey" and before the classic "The Bends" from 1995. The EP collects B-sides from the single "My Iron Lung". Originally, the EP was probably only released in Australia, but with eight tracks and a playing time of almost half an hour it is an exciting link between "Pablo Honey" and "The Bends" - in fact I think it could be considered a regular album.

The title track is a melodic song, yet has some pretty crass breaks that break with the neatness of melody. A strong track that was also included on "The Bends". "The Trickster" is another favorite - an upbeat rocker and again with fine melody fabric. "Lewis" is rather scratchy, but it does have melodic elements. "Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong" is another favorite. The song starts quietly and builds up very nicely from here; again a great tune. "Permanent Daylight" is an instrumental; ok but no more either.

When I hear "Lozenge of Love" I usually think of The Kinks' "Fancy", although they are really quite different, I believe they have a lot of the same vibe. "You Never Wash Up After Yourself" is a short acoustic song that sounds a lot like it was taken from "Pablo Honey". The early Radiohead classic "Creep" can be found here in a very fine acoustic version.
