Comments:

As a sequel to the rather fine debut album from Peter & Gordon, I think you may be allowed to be somewhat disappointed with this second album from the duo released just 6 months later. Sound, style and production are unchanged; this is still neat Mersey-pop with relation to Everly Brothers and traditional folk music.

The songs are just generally less interesting than those on the debut. Once again a Lennon / McCartney song is included and although it far from being one of the Beatle-dous best, I would rate "I Don't Want to See You Again" as the album's strongest track.

Peter & Gordon (Asher / Waller) themselves wrote songs for their albums; rarely especially memorable songs but often quite solid. On "In Touch" they thus contribute two of the better songs "I Don't Care What They Say" and "Leave Me in the Rain" - both nice pop ballads.

As on the predecessor, some old folk songs, "Land of Oden", "Barbara Allen" and "Willow Garden" are included - quite nice but also somewhat tame. The duo does quite well as Everly Brothers imitators; but are completely lacking the edge of the American brothers. A disappointing album.
