Comments:

"Comes a Time" from 1978 is Neil Young's ninth studio album. The album is mostly a solo album but on two song songs ("Look Out For My Love" and "Lotta Love") he is backed by Crazy Horse. Much of the album features great harmony vocals from Nicolette Larson and there is an overall light and crunchy sound on the album; not unlike early albums like "Harvest".

It is a great album with catchy and melodic songs, mostly of the country / folk style. "Goin 'Back" is a strong opener; melodic and great harmony vocals from Nicolette Larson, who at times sounds quite a lot like Emmylou Harris. Three just as strong songs follow "Comes a Time", "Look Out for My Love" and "Lotta Love" (which became a hit with Nicolette Larson) Very unusual for Neil Young, the album concludes with a cover version; it is, in fact another highlight - a great and moving version of Ian Tyson's "Four Strong Winds"; the song also appeared on single - the only one from "Comes a Time"
