"While the songs are so good on the self-titled 1973 album, the production is so awful that it makes the album hard to listen to. A song like "Song For A Lost Friend" could have really kicked some ass, could have even been an A-side, had Chris Thomas produced it the way he produced WYWH.

The same for "Shine On"...I can imagine it beginning acoustically with just Pete solo on the first verse, and then whole band joining in and totally rocking out on it. It would've been a nice way to lead off the album. It would be great if someone went back and made an alternate mix of that whole LP."
