Test report on Outpost Firewall. Excellent Intrusion detection and a Good Firewall.
Comments below....at the bottom of this page. If you like to tinker with configurations this is the one you should have as it offers plenty of simple options. Has a built in ad blocker which will block pop ups and normal ads . In their place AD initials appear. You have the choice of modifying this option to view ads.

Above test done on a Outpost Firewall. It is very good in reporting intrusion detection.
We were able to see activity of some parasites which were not detected by anti spyware products (Trickler). Some how the ad blocker would turn on after every restart of PC and if you wanted to see ads you had to manfully shut it down. Keeps extensive logs.
