After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Florida Bible College, John went on to receive his Masters of Divinity from Knox Theological Seminary and his Doctorate from Reformed Theological Seminary.  Having worked for 29 years in the Fire-Rescue arena, John retired in January 2007 at the rank of Battalion Chief in the Broward Sheriff's Division of Fire-Rescue to focus upon his first love, that of teaching the Bible.  John has taught and, in some cases, is still teaching at the following schools:

Trinity International University : Florida Campus
Miami International Seminary: Miami, Florida.
Reformed Theological Seminary, Boca Campus, Florida.
South Florida Bible College. Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Moldova Bible Seminary in Eastern Europe.
Broward College — Fire Science Program.

John met his wife, Paula, at Florida Bible College where they were both students.  "Paula is the light of my life, my constant companion and beloved partner."

Paula received her Bachelor degree from Florida Atlantic University and her Masters Degree at the University of South Florida.  She retired in 2010 from her career as a Media Specialist for the Broward County School Board.  A certified teacher, she has been able to use her teaching gifts for women's Bible studies, children's ministries and even the training of others on teaching methods within the church.  She and John have both served as visiting instructors at the Moldova Bible Seminary in Eastern Europe and they both currently serve as adjunct professors at the Florida campus of Trinity International University.  John is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America.

John and Paula have a daughter, Sky Heather McNeill.  She and husband Lance live within driving distance with their children, Andrew Paul and Eliyah Faith.
