Loch Tummel Sailing Club is situated on the south shore of the loch, approximately 12 miles west of Pitlochry, in the heart of beautiful Perthshire. Travel time from Perth is under an hour.

A variety of boats of boats are sailed from the club, these include, Flying Fifteen & Yeoman keel boats, Laser(s), RS 200 and 400, Topper, Optimist, Spice & National 12 dinghy's and Catamarans. In addition the club owns two Pico dinghies which are available to members for use as single or two crew boats. These are also used for club training. No powerboats other than for safety purposes are permitted.

The club was opened in 1960 with a handful of enthusiastic local members. Today the membership, covering a wide geographical spread, includes many family members. The essence of the club is a friendly sailing environment for all, especially families. The club runs racing every Sunday from April until October with a regular turnout of 15 - 20+ boats. Two races take place each day i.e. at 1200 and 1400 hours with the option of a third race, subject to conditions and demand.

For those who prefer cruising there is plenty of space on the loch for everyone. Our sailing area extends from west of the jetty to the island which lies beneath the famous Queen's View.

Members each have a key and can use the club and its facilities, which include clubroom and kitchen, changing rooms with showers, stores and workshop areas and access to rescue boats.

The club grounds provide ample space for picnics and parking for cars and boats. Limited moorings for keelboats are available.
