Here there's a short list of the mistakes that J.K Rowling's publishers and editors forgot to take out.
On page 317 of Book 2, Tom Riddle is talking about how he and Harry are
similar and says, "There are strange likenesses between us after all. Even
you must have noticed. Both half-bloods..." Wait one second, Harry is not a
half blood! His parents both went to Hogwarts! What a mistake!-Dumbledore
In book four Snape takes 10 points away from Gryfidor even though it was
annouced due to the Champion Chip thing there would be no house cup-Brandon
It was interesting, but one of the mistakes you
have listed isn't a mistake: "In The 3rd book, If Sirius was in Akaban for
the last 12 years ( page 212 ), How could he lend Hangrid his Motorbyke? (
book 1 page 14 ) and then Hagrid says he has to give it back? Well?!" Well,
in the third book, Harry was 13, and twelve years ago he was at the
Dursley's house, Hagrid having already dropped him off when he was less than
a year old! When Hagrid used Sirius' bike Sirius' had just began to hunt for
Wormtail in response for his lack of loyalty to the Potters as their secret
keeper. He wasn't locked away for another couple of months, at least. ~Steph
This is about the mistake in Goblet of Fire on page 155. You said on your
site that it was supposed to be Brung but Bung is what it is supposed to be.
Bung means throw. Just thought I'd let you know.-

I just wanted to point out that in book 2 we find out that moaning
myrtle was killed by the basilisk a long time ago in her bathroom, thats
fine but apparently she was crying in there because she had been teased
by some girl about her glasses. Um glasses, hello there but what is the
difference between seeing the basilisk through a pair of glasses or a
camera lense? They are both just thin pieces of glass.-Kitten
When Moody, Dumbledore and others are talking in book four with Fudge in pg
503 english version chapeter "The Dream" near the end
""Dumbledore come!" said Crouch angrily. It is not meant to be either
Crouchs speaking as one is there as moody and the other is mad in the forest
with Krum. I think Fudge is meant to be speaking at that moment.-Natalie
In book 2 on page 132 Hermione says about Moaning Myrtle, "She haunts one
of the toilets in the girls' bathroom on the first floor," while in book 4
on page 395 Harry says, "'I suppose there's always Moaning Myrtle,' he said
gloomily, referring to the ghost who haunted the girls' toilet on the second
floor." um...i don't think that's really a mistake because it says in the book that
the castle like moves around and stuff. JK Rowling probably did that on
purpose, you know? -Ester
Book Four
Page 503.
""Dumbledore come!" said Crouch angrily."Don't you think...""
The only Crouch in the room is in the form of Alastor Moody
The word Crouch should really be "Fudge" I think.-James
In Defense against Darks arts, Harry says he had the Imperious curse on him
four times, until he could throw it off completely. But then later, when
Voldemort puts it on him, the book says, " For the Third time in his life,
that feeling of unconcern drifted over him" or something like that. But it
wasn't the 3rd time, it was the 5th!! Is that just a mistake or did something
happen I don't know about??? Sent in by Ferinny
In the Goblet Of Fire, page 178 near the top of the page, when Harry said,
"That's not the song it sang when it Sorted us," a capatalzation error
Also in book4 page 140, second paragraph, the phrase "a narrower staircase"
should be "a more narrow staircase"
In the Sorcerer's stone, page 2, how could Petunia gossip away happily AND
wrestle a screaming Dudly in a high chair?!
Book one, page 15 it says Hargrid is Twice as tall as a normal man and 5
times as wide, though in book 4 , pg.179 it says he's 2wice as tall but only
three times as wide. I guess he's been on weight loss.
In The 3rd book, If Sirius was in Akaban for the last 12 years ( page 212 ),
How could he lend Hangrid his Motorbyke? ( book 1 page 14 ) and then Hagrid
says he has to give it back? Well?!
In book 1, pg. 31 it says Dudley's stupid friend Piers, Dennis, Malcom &
Gordon were all Big and Stupid, though on pg.25 , it says Peir was scrawny
and like a rat.

In book 2 "Harry Potter and the chamber of
Secrets" it says on page 283 the last word on the page
is Professorr, they put one too many "r's" here
is the exact sentence "There was a loud bang
behind Harry as Neville Longbottom's wand slipped,
vanishing one of the legs on his desk. Professorr
McGonagall restored it with a wave of her own
wand, and turned, frowning to Semus."
In book 4 "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"
it says on page 155 First sentance Bung, it should
be Brung, they forgot a "r" here is the exact
sentence. "Bung him some Owl Treats," said Ron,
throwing a packet across to Harry. "It might shut him
up." Last 2 Sent in by Kristen

According to book 2 on page 133 Nearly Headless Nick's cake says, "Sir
Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, died 31st October, 1492." Since it's his
500th death day party that would mean that Harry Potter book 2 takes place
in the year 1992. However in book 4 it's mentioned on page 25, "chucked his
PlayStation out of the window." Play Station officially came out in Japan
in December 1994, while at that point in the book it's only August 1994!
NPB's reference about calling soccer "football" in book 4 is actually
correct since most of the world refer to soccer as "football" since they
don't play football like us Americans. :P Last 3 Sent in by Tori
In the 1st book when Hagrid comes and gets Harry out of the little hut on
the rock, they take the boat that Harry and the Dursleys take over. So how do
the Dursleys get back to thier house? Sent in by Karen.
In the second American book Professor McGonogall says the password as "lemon drop," but in the fourth book Harry remembers it being "sherbet lemon."
In the first American book Dean Thomas has a poster of the West Ham Soccer Team, but in the fourth they call it the West Ham football team, like it is said in England- last two sent in by NPB
In the first book it says Flint is in his 6th year, but he ends up staying in the next two books. *Yes I know I've heard it all! He had to stay for another year*
In the third book on page 285 it says "Snap picked up the Zonko's bag" but it's suppose to be Snape.
Well there you go I started your imaginations off! If you've noticed anymore send them in!
