"He was harmless really... Like a little puppy. I think he may have worshipped me as his God. In the end I just had to let him go - his love for me was becoming too overpowering."
These were the words of Sheik Abdul Ad-Hazim, seen here meeting with George Bush, the ex-president of the USA. He is describing our macho leader Alex, who for some time worked as a personal assistant to the Sheik. According to his testimony, Alex became very fond of the towel-headed old man - so fond, in fact, that it eventually cost him his job. Was it this heartbreaking split from his dear friend that caused Alex to become the power hungry, despotic megalomaniac that he is today? It may well be!
Mr Bush, who was able to get to know Alex quite well during his stay with the Sheik, had this to say of him:
"When I first entered the room I was overcome by a not entirely unpleasant aroma of cloves and bacon fat... I think it was some sort of skin lotion Alex applied to try and make himself look younger. When ever Abdul entered the room, you could just see Alex's little face light up in delight... I think this photo shows that quite well."
