1994 - Wolverine's Greatest Battles

Wolverine VS Sabretooth - When they encountered each other in the Morlock tunnels, Wolverine and Sabretooth renewed their years-old enmity! In the midst of their battle, Sabretooth revealed a startling secret: he was Wolverine's father! The conflict continued even as the tunnels began to flood. Both combatants were swept into the East River, where Sabretooth vanished! And although Logan later discovered that Sabretooth had lied, his hatred for his enemy has not diminished!

Wolverine VS Cyber - To save his ally, Tyger Tiger, Wolverine was forced to face his most terrifying foe - Cyber! Logan's fear of his adamantium coated enemy was enhanced a thousand when Cyber injected the X-Man with a deadly hallucinogen. Caught in a nightmarish landscape of his own past with Cyber in every maddening vision, Logan was driven to the brink of insanity! Overcoming his terror, Wolverine was finally able to defeat the seemingly invincible killer, destroying his fear of Cyber forever!

Wolverine VS Omega Red - The Cold War held many dark secrets, but few as lethal as Omega Red! And when Wolverine, in his days as a covert agent, was sent to steal the secret of the carbonadium used to create Omega Red, a conflict began that continues to this day! Their battles thus far have been inconclusive, but with nigh-unbreakable carbonadium tendrils to ensnare his targets and a death pheromone that saps their strength, Omega Red could well be the ultimate match of Wolverine's adamantium claws and fast-healing factor!

Wolverine VS Hulk - It was suicide from the start - a single, unarmed man sent to capture the strongest, most unpredictable being on the planet: the incredible Hulk! But this was no ordinary man; this was Wolverine, whose adamantium claws and berserker fighting skill would soon make him known worldwide as one of the toughest mutants alive! Their battle, in Canada's northern wilderness, was only the first of several violent clashes. This time, the Hulk won; but Wolverine could claim an important victory as well - he survived!

Wolverine VS Spider-Man - Their battle was a clash between different points of view. Wolverine was trying to help a doomed friend by making her death quick and painless. But Spider-Man attempted to save her from death at Wolverine's hands - a death he didn't realize she wanted! The heroes met head on in a Berlin cemetery, their battle ending only after Spider-Man was tricked into accidently killing the woman himself! It was a tragic twist of fate, from any point of view!

Wolverine VS Silver Samurai - There was only one way for the Silver Samurai to gain the leadership of Clan Yashida - through the death of his half-sister, Mariko Yashida! Only hours before Wolverine and Mariko were to be wed, the Samurai poisoned the X-Men, leaving all but Wolverine, Rogue and Storm at death's door! Matching his adamantium claws against the Samurai's energy blade, Wolverine defeated his enemy in combat and recovered the antidote to the deadly toxin! But though he won the battle, he lost his heart as Mariko would later refuse his hand!

Wolverine VS Hellfire Club - His teammates ambushed and captured, Wolverine had to fight impossible odds to rescue them - but that's what he does best! Trapped in the Hellfire Club's headquarters, the exhausted X-Man battled his way through a battalion of guards, finally reaching the Inner Circle of the club and his captured teammates! But little did Logan realize that several of the guards he seriously injured would later return as the cyborg Reavers!

Wolverine VS Cable - Stalking the evil mutant Stryfe in the streets of Madripoor, Cable and the New Mutants ran afoul of the city's most lethal citizen, Wolverine! To the New Mutants' dismay, instead of aiding them in their search, Wolverine battled their cyborg leader, both combatants making veiled references to some prior bad blood. After an uneasy truce imposed by the younger heroes, Wolverine joined the New Mutants in defeating Stryfe and his Mutant Liberation Front. But, though the situation made them allies, clearly Wolverine and Cable were eager for a rematch!

Wolverine VS Punisher - When the Punisher took a hunting vacation in Africa, he found the most dangerous game of all - Wolverine! Mistaking each other for members of a gang of poachers, Wolverine and the Punisher engaged in an explosive battle! During the titanic rumble, the heroes accidentally came upon the real poachers! Realizing their error, the mutant and the vigilante turned the table on the criminals, leaving them to the tender mercies of the very animals they sought to kill!

Wolverine VS Lord Shingen - Spurned by his lover Mariko Yashida, Wolverine traveled to Japan to confront her. To his dismay, he discovered that Lord Shingen, Mariko's father and the head of Clan Yashida, had betrothed Mariko to another! When he tried to intercede on Mariko's behalf, Wolverine was drugged and nearly beaten to death by the crime lord. Undaunted, Logan decimated Yashida's criminal operations and defeated his assassins, the Hand! Facing one another in a final duel, Logan defeated Shingen, regaining his honor and heralding Mariko's ascent to the head of Clan Yashida!
