I have gathered some information regarding rooms for the reunion. It is called the Acadian Motel. It is located about a 5-minute walk from the Acadian center, where the reception is being held. There are 15 rooms available, where 9 of them are non-smoking. Most of them have 2 double beds where some have 1 double bed and 2 single beds. The price is more than reasonable for prime time season rates. They are $80 + tax per room based on double occupancy, with an additional $10 for each extra adult staying in the room. Children under 12 are free. Therefore for example, 2 couples sharing a room, the total price for the room would be $100 + tax.
The problem is because of “foreseen late night noises”; they would rather reserve the whole 15-block unit solely for the reunion. I am hoping that people will reserve well in advance, in order to ensure everyone will have a place to sleep. Please pass the word around to people whom you know might need such accommodations.
The e-mail address for the Acadian Motel is http://cheticampns.com/acadianmotel/ and the phone number is (902) 224-2089. Toll Free 1-800-615-1977. Fax - 224-1431. Hope this to be helpful and do not hesitate to e-mail me if you have any questions. Please send me some pictures as you can see, I’m still missing a lot of them.
Hello! this is Varick a Roland a Medrick a Simon, the web master of this page. I would like to thank all the people who have taken the time to send us pictures. We have recently received a nice load of pictures.. mainly from the Joseph, Medrick, Henri and Therese parts of the family. At the very least, we now have pictures for all of the gallery entrances. It has been brought to my attention that there have been people who didn't realised that clicking on the pictures found under photo gallery brought you to a sub-gallery of the people and their children. I will post that up on the page under a "n.b." I am doind my best to format the pictures we received... giving them borders and names. It may take a while before all the pictures are formatted properly, but for now most of them are posted up as is. I am very impressed with the turn out and i met a few of you last night, i hope to meet many more of you at the reunion. Once again, I'd like to thank the people helping me with the pictures. Please.. keep the pictures coming, i hope to have a nice gallery by the time of the reunion. There should be more pictures to come, ones that haven't been scanned or sent to me yet in the near future (a few days). Thank you for all your contributions, and i apologize for the improsivions on the gallerys. Look for more notices from me here, this part of the site has been underused i'm afraid.
Sincerely,
Varick

Hello all! Well.... It's the end of the Reunion! And I am AMAZED! everything went off without a hitch! As Gerald had said... please send me any pictures of the reunion or any of the family pictures. I'm going to keep this site active to act as a archive for the many pictures we've collected and to act as a site for any future reunions... though i'm not sure if any plans have been made, I hope they will. However, the sad truth is it would be folly to hope for a turn out as big as we have had this week end. We've had at least 1 of every branch of the family . Anyway, I got the impresion that everyone enjoyed the reunion. Thanks to everyone who sang for us on Friday night and to the bands from Saturday night. I think you all did an excellent job and judging by the crowds reaction so did everyone else present. Well.... as i've said before please feel free to use the message board... it's here for your use.
Thank you!
